Hi there, I have a template with a left and a right column. In the right column is the module "simple image rotator" (SIR). I want on a page to turn off the module SIR because i need the whole page.
When i do that the module SIR is turned off (no pictures showing) but it seems as if the right column is still there because the text on that page can't fill out the whole page. Is this a artisteer problem? The website is not live so i can't give you a URL.
Thanks!

OK...that's actually a Joomla! issue, but.... Bring up the SIR in your module manager and scroll to the "menu assignment" box at the bottom of the page. Click the "select menu item(s)..." button and then click on the pages you want SIR to appear on. It will only appear on those pages. This should solve the problem as it appears to be the only module on the right column, right?

Hope that helps...

Don't forget to make sure you have enabled SIR....

Hi Dan, thanks for your answer but that's exactly what I did. I deselected the page where the module should dissapear and the module itself dissapears but it looks like the right column is still there.
When I look with Firebug the right column is not visible. So that is very strange. It looks like the text on that page is "stopped" bij the right column which is not there.

greetings William

No that won't work. You'll have to create a new template in Artisteer based on the existing one but without the R/H column. Then when you've uploaded & installed it, use the Template Manager to assign the template to the menu item(s) you want.

Try disabling all modules in the Right Position. This should fix it.

The SIR module is the only module in the right position.
@phil... I can't assign the template to the menu items because joomla says can't assign standard template to the menu items?? (there is nothing to select)

I still haven't found the solution.

Greetings William

Hi william, which versions of Artisteer/Joomla are you using? I know that current versions of Artisteer will collapse the column if there are no modules present but maybe this hasn't always been the case (I don't know, I haven't been using Artisteer that long, just a theory).

Also if you use firebug to inspect the content column is it showing a width set through a style?
