hello. I'm a newbie at this and am trying to evaluate artisteer. There seems a lot which doesnt easily transfer into finished product without special knwoledge. I've discovered how to make the horizontal tab menu appear by using position user3 but I have designed a template with a 3 col right sidebar - this does not appear when exported to Joomla -
Other things which maybe my lack of joomla knowledge - how come if you put a read more button on front page article then when it's pressed the tab menu disappears?
help much appreciated tia

Make sure the editor is adding read more tag correctly, it may happen that opening div is there but no closing div. You can also try using another Joomla editor.

Howdy,

1) 3 column template - chances are that you do not have any modules assigned to the 3rd column; that is to say, if your 3 col. template is a left-content-right layout, you must have at least one module assigned to the right column in order to see a "3 col" layout; this is especially true if your installation of J! was made without using the Joomla Sample Data as there is only one module, main menu, and it is assigned to the left position; if you have added no others and assigned the main menu to User3, then there will be only a "one col. (content) layout :)

2) frontpage "read more" - this could also be a matter of not have the Main Menu module assigned to "All" menu items; verify this in Extensions > Module Manager > Main Menu > Menu Assignment (lower left) > All is set

Cheers!

1) make sure that your menu is set up correctly in that it actually has "child" menu item(s) under a "parent" menu item

Parent Menu Item
|_ Child Menu Item

2) In Extensions > Module Manger > Main Menu make sure that:
- position is set to User3
- Module Parameters > Always show sub-menu Items > is set to "Yes"
