add extra column 100% height to left |

I have two sidebars at right, buty also need to add a column at left that takes up 100% height. Virtually pushing everything to the right by about 150px. This is so I can add a logo at right of the menu and have empty space below it to the bottom of the page. Does anybody know how to alter the artisteer joomla template to do this??
