Sounds good!

More features ideas?

Ability to have searchbox in header, or end of navbar.
Ditto for login box.

Thanks for listening!

I second this!

Lots of good ideas....

How about being able to use png images in the header, instead of converting it to a jpg. This would allow the use of transparancy in the header. I have already done this manually on a couple of sites.

Come on guys, the least you can do is play with Artisteer for more than 5 minutes... Artisteer 3.0 already supports Transparent headers. No need for png images for that purpose.

If we are talking about CMS, what do you think about this?

That´s It

maybe it could be used in header also , but that´s a major improvement

glad to know you listen

Those extra areas look good in the menu area (presuming the menu is going to be the same size as the search box).

Would it work if you had a big chunky menu or would it be better for artisteer to have the search feature embedded in the menu div allowing users to float it left or right.

Perhaps both options.

P.S. Good to see Artisteer engaging on the forums.

OK, no need to get rude, I actually have spent a fair bit of time going over ver. 3 - I see this does work, and does create a transparent png, but it would be helpful if the transparency showed inside artisteer and you could see the background image behind it. Currently, the header shows as a white background and you have to export the template to see the results. This is why I assumed it wasn't working properly.

Listen to the people please. Do not put a search box in the main menu div? Why on earth would you do this? People want the ability to use the negative space left over in the header. I have had to do this on just about every Artisteer template I have made.

I've only used Artisteer for WP so far.
If the Search or Login items could be freely positioned anywhere on the page would be great.

I would like to see, within Artisteer, the ability to have a header / footer region which is not a part of the sheet. But, if I really want it, I make the changes myself.

Can u Explain how to do that please

I would like to see, with Artisteer, the ability to allow us to set our own "h1", "h2", etc. tags the way we want them.

Currently the way its setup, you have to code in order to get the "h tags" were we want them. (having the h1 tag in the header is not seo optimized and doesn't make sense).

Are you listening Artisteer?

Thank you

Hi, could you please provide some examples where and what tags do you want to see.

I just tried the latest preview update and the initial complaints here are unjustified. The thing has crucial additions, like customizable footer text and a custom css section. These are pain for myself to have to alter every time I export a theme but they've now remedied that.

Even that aside, just having fluid width alone is worth it.

Looks like with some earlier posts from Artisteer, =this will be a feature in the next release - so hang in there.

Artisteer should have the ability to create more block styles than just one, that we can assign by module.

I know new version allows additional css styles , but i think it would be great if you can do it visually , like you do to master block style , and save that new style to use in the module position you choose.

Maybe a new tab , with aditional 4 or 5 block style and only the block to see , is the answer

Hmmmm...

About the ability to put a gap between the horizontal menu and the header and also a gap between the horizontal menu and the rest of the page.

Also the ability to format the footer. Many WP sites have a footer that is broken down into 3 columns

That would be sweet

This might of already been asked for but how about a FLUID header where is width is wider than the rest of the sheet.

Also maybe the same for the footer where it too can be wider than the rest of the sheet.

Jeff,

From what I have read in some other posts - both of your requested features will be included in version 3.0

About module positions why not include more one position in top and bottom 3 positions is stranger so top 4 and bottom 4 will be great too!

Is so simple to add this positions why only 3 posiitons?

Thank you.

First Great Work

I'm using prior Drupal for my themes. Here are my ideas

1. Not using H1-H2 for the Block Headers. It is an ranking factor for
Google and i dont want to give "Login", "Search" etc. some "power"

2. << For "Website or Blog" Template we plan to implement Content Layout:
Maybe you can implement it also for Drupal regions. I like your
"natrition consultans" Theme in the sample - but not working to convert
it into drupal.

3. Different Site Types for the CMS Systems
Frontpage, Article, Categories

4. Plz remove link1, link2, link3 from the fotter

5. differnt styles for blocks

6. region in the header

How about the ability to set borders in each column that is setup in the layout?

I guess that can be taken a step further by also requesting the ability to set bg color for each of those columns too.

I tried Artisteer a while ago, and I thought it was awesome. Not wanting to sound like the complainers above - who do have some valid requests, but I'm sure if implemented, would increase the price of the product - but I do want to say that some of the improvements coming in V. 3 (mainly the vertical menu) have me waiting until it is released before I buy it. I know that a year of free updates passes very quickly - and V. 3 has been on the drawing board for a while. It could be quite a while before it's released - and I just want to wait til it's released before buying it. (If this prods the programmers into releasing it faster, I'll be happy!!! :-)

Looking forward to being a member of the Artisteer family!!

THAT IS A GREAT IDEA!!!!

Always having the H1 being static can cause issues (duplicate H1 and H2 tags). Most of the time I want my H1 (and other H tags) in the content body or be the article title.

How about an Artisteer method of having rotating banner images in the header? The only way I know to do this in Joomla is to create an Artisteer template without a header and edit the xml/index.php files to add the header module...then, use a module/plugin in Joomla. It seems like there should be an easier way...thanks, Tim
