I've created a few Drupal sites with Artisteer themes, it's marvellous!

e.g....

http://microstu.moduwise.com
http://www.chain-of-fools.co.uk

... are a couple. I usually tweak the css and maybe add some snippets to the template files, e.g. to put a specific logo image in the header, linked to the home page, rather than let Artisteer include the logo in the header block background which is not linkable! Just a personal preference... :-)

I add my own CSS file to the main theme.info file to override some generated values, that way I don't have to re-alter the style.css if I tweak Artisteer later :-)

Ralph,

The quality of may of your client works are excellent and creative. The infinitee site banner needs an upgrade. It really shouts artisteer and you can improve the site a lot by swapping the stock artisteer photo and swirly graphic. Great stuff!!

Here's a few themes that my business partner Roxy @ JAQKAR.com created -- I tweaked mine (services.realmquests.com) to add the image map at the top right:

http://services.realmquests.com (mine)
http://JAQKAR.com (roxy's)

http://quarryhillsvet.realmquests.com
(a client, about to go live on their own domain --
we'll be putting this theme in place over
the existing one in the next 24 hrs)

http://handymanoahu.com/
http://docwong.net
http://prayermountainnw.com
(the client likes to make the content font sizes a bit large,
but the theme is nice)

Regarding your message to Prince Manjee,

What is the module that powers the "Tools" on the bottom of the
screen?

I took a look at the code and found that it was a javascript toolbar from Wibiya. Here's the URL for more information:

http://http://www.wibiya.com/

...it actually looks like a really cool set of options, too.

Created in Artisteer then customized. I love the number of regions and the flexibility of the layouts.

That's weird as it seems to be working from my home, from my clients home and from my work ... maybe the hosting company was having a glitch at that time ... Clear you cache and try it again and let me know... :)

I would love any and all feedback as I'm new at the development game.

David,

Nice site. One thing. The header images you use for "Chiropractic Care" and "MassageTherapy" are HUGE. They are 24 bit PNGs and are about 350K each. That is a reeal no-no. They are not so important as to slow down the page load that much. Try making them fairly aggressively compressed JPEGs with the background gradient behind the shadows (i.e. no translucency). You'll be able to get them down to 40 or 50K, they'll still look fine and won't drive people away from the page with a long download time.

Mark C,

I noticed your post from July of this year, listing this site:
www.shorelinesartsfestival.com

I imagine you already know, but it's giving the Drupal message - down b/c of technical problems.

I am in the throws of putting together a site for a client here site at 85% completion:
www.austbis.com.au

A completed site in Drupal and Artisteer: www.supremeskipbins.com.au
Although this one is completed, I am not so happy with the header as the shadow under the solid line is not matching the repeat horizontal...

I am working on one of my own: www.cmwwebfx.com.au/fxlogistics
Here I am having fun making a cloud app for iPhone and iPad for
collection and delivery of hire equipment.

Another site I have completed is www.dialabin.com
The graphics I made on the trains with my small Dell while traveling around Europe visiting all the ski fields from Prague to Switzerland, to Italy then to Germany and Austrian Alps.. I really love using Artisteer even though it lacks in a few small areas to build a more complex site. I would love that Artisteer opens up 3 new regions in the footer area.

Graphics just suck on this site. Design 1/10

Thanks for that. I'm moving a few sites to a new host. It should be back soon (though needs a lot of work in preparation for this year's festival.

:-/ bHd... Rather than saying something looks crap and giving a 1/10, how about being productive enough to explain your thoughts. You took the time to rubbish something I have tried to achieve, yet you don't give "constructive" criticism.

Just so you are aware, this was my first attempt at a website trying out Artisteer.

Go take some positive pills mate!

These sites keep getting better all the time. Keep up the good work guys! :-)

If Artisteer keeps gong at this rate and we get a lot of crafty Artisteer users, you'll be able to develop themes better than those overpriced premium themes.

My web-sites:

http://web.if.usp.br/pg/
http://web.if.usp.br/fap/

I do not know if you agree ...

But websites made with Artisteer look a bit alike (but off course only us webdesigners know this).

Currently I'm using two modules very interesting to make good visuals with Artisteer: Cpanels and DisplaySuite. They combined leave the content displayed in spectacular fashion.
