I definitely support this as well, Its such a necessity!

If they're not gonna implement this, they should at least add a bunch more popular positions like above the header, below the footer, the 2 top corners (like for a page peel), etc. I dont see how these aren't already there...

I too agree that being able to create additional module positions especially in the header section would be a massive improvement to what is already a fantastic template generator.

Let's hope this is actioned soon! :-)

So I figured if support won't come to the forum, bring the forum to the support team.

And I'm glad I did - I got a response in literally a couple of minutes - how good is that!?

I put to them the idea in this thread, and here's what they said...

Thank you very much.
Actually we already have all these features in our wish list and our developers should consider them in the future.

The upcoming Artisteer 3.0 version will already have some improvements by allowing Joomla users to define custom Module Class Suffixes.
In the future versions we also plan to add options for creating different block designs within Artisteer.

BRING ON 3.0!!!

Sadly, Version 3 is released and this feature of adding Joomal! module code was not implemented. The lack makes Artisteer very good, but not indespensible.

But keep voting, maybe V4 will do the trick!

I would like to recommend an extremely important feature for future Artisteer development; to simplify the process of creating or adding custom module positions anywhere (especially in the header position) during Joomla! template design using Artisteer.
This capability is one thing that makes Joomla! unique and why so many people are using Joomla!
Currently, adding modules in Joomla template designs using Artisteer is not possible. It can only be achieved manually which is time consuming thus minimising the effectiveness of Artisteer for Joomla! template designers.
I strongly believe that every Joomla template designer will agree with this suggestion and will be eager to have it implemented ASAP.

I am writing again on this request. I want to know if ARTISTEER TEAM will ever implement the ability to add modules in the header position. I want to add that it will be good too to have a Sub-header (another header or a position we can call "SHOWCASE" or "FEATURE"under the main header).
These features are important in Joomla Template Creation.
Or is there a work-around to this?
My best regards.
