Hi there,
I am new to this and would love to see a whitepaper that can guide me through the issues for DNN skin creation that seems to be apparent. If you can please send me a copy of the whitepaper or notes, I would really appreciate it. My email is ayda008 at gmail.com Thank you!

What are the Artisteer Tags that are to be changed to accomplish Item 1 in your post? Thanks

Hey All,
You don't need to depend on a white paper to optimize these skins - it is actually very easy!
1. Eliminate the redundant or unwanted panes - I prefer less panes as it keeps the html cleaner.
2. If you are migrating a current site - change the id tag for the panes to match your current skin.
3. And this one is just a personal preference - add the DNN user and login register at the top of the skin and the appropriate tokens and change the artmenu showlogin and showuser to false.
Voila!!

My site works great with Artisteer 2.3.0. Check out http://DrMeletis.com

As stated above, the left and right panes are called Sidebar1 and Sidebar2. I suggest that you login as host on your DNN site, and view your site in Layout mode. This shows you want panes are defined in your skin.

But you need to add content to those panes if you want them to show up.

One thing to be aware of - you'll get different behaviors with different browsers. My site is defined with two sidepanes. In firefox and chrome, if I don't put content in the sidepane, the skin automatically expands the Content pane. But in Internet Explorer 8, the panes do not display properly unless they're all used.

Hey All,
i missed the Siedebars in my Dotnetnuke created Skin!
After export the Skin from Artisteer and import it in DNN,
the siedbars are missing. At Layout only the ContenPane is shown.
I tried it also on the newest DNN-Version, but the Problem didnt resolve.

Does anybody can help me?

Thx
Armin
