Exactly how is the 4.0 responsive and how can I get it to work well on desktop along with working well for a smart phone?

Well, it would help me alot to know how to make an artisteer website be responsive enough to be viewed on a smart phone...even if it meant changing some of the coding.
Many templates/themes nowadays are being made responsive... i was hoping Artisteer would do the same. Maybe they have but at this point I need some instructions along with the beta version to make it work.

Looks like 'responsive design' is currently not supported in Artisteer 4.

Just downloaded the Overview of Artisteer 4.0 features, it seems to have been changed from the version I downloaded last night. No longer makes reference to "responsive designs".

maybe you could write a plug-in to make them responsive

I actually have started converting the artisteer files into responsive layouts. The beauty of artisteer is that it always created the same code as in what the containers are called.
Heres' a great tutorial about how you can convert themes in general:

I was working on a cheat sheet of the steps to convert it to make it faster. Unfortunately, I'm not a programmer otherwise I would convert it into a plug-in

How to make Joomla template created with Artisteer 4.x responsive:
1. When exporting template be sure you selected YES for responsive design.
2. Open file script.responsive.js with Notepad (can be found in the root of exported .zip)
3. At the beginning change values to "true" instead of "false", to look like this:

isResponsive: true,
isDesktop: true,
isTablet: true,
isPhone: true,
Save file and update it to the web server. That;s it.
