Is there a way to import an existing WordPress theme into Aristeer and edit it with Aristeer?

None that I've found. I have used it to take elements from other templates (using the images in the template image directory, such as the header) and creating new templates.

I'm tempted to go for Artisteer as it is. If it had any import functions, would be totally irresistible !

I have an Artisteer generated theme on my website NewStoryforAmerica.com that I got from wordpress.org. I would like to upload it into Artisteer and make a few minor changes. Is this possible and if so how do I do it.
Thanks

Hello,
Marla, is there any way to get the .artx file from the author? Artisteer can open only .artx files. not the generated templates.
Wouter, I believe importing an existing non-Artisteer WordPress theme into Aristeer and edit it could never be possible as well as re-creating the third-party themes in Artisteer like was asked here:

I would very much like to be able to import an exiting theme and change it. I've been using version 1 of Artisteer and I am pleased with it and was hoping that version 2 will bring this option but I can't see that. Any ways unknown for me maybe?

People! As Caroline says "it could never be possible". Technically, logically, physically. You can't import even Artisteer exported theme. Artisteer can open only .artx files. It's impossible to compress generated theme into .artx file. Especially nonArtisteer.
It's would be great, but not possible
