What is the point of having a list of a thousand sites for themes? So you can shop around for the cheapest ones to then resell? Doing that would only produce very low quality, cheap level work that most people will be able to identify quickly.
And most freebie themes come with malware or spyware of some kind.
It's always best to create your own custom themes. If you can't do that, or won't, it's then better to hire a professional and use a credit card to pay for it or save up the money.
Also, if you have Google why would you need such a list? Most of these template hustlers will be gone in a year or two.

Those are very nice template resources here, thank you. I always get such wordpress templates for websites from http://www.templatemonster.com/wordpress-themes.php I guess, I will add this thread to my bookmarks too :)

I have been trying DiVi which looks brilliant BUT only if you are good with CSS. To even show a background image in a header requires CSS. Such a shame
