Hi, I hope someone can help me. I have 3 vertical menus in the left position and I need each one to have a different background colour. My knowledge of CSS is not so advanced to figure this out by myself. My website link is http://www.simply-natural.co.za/index.php. I'm using Joomla 2.5 and Artisteer 3.1. Would really appreciate some help :) thanks.

Create 2 additional classes like so. You can name them anything you wish.
.menu2 {background:#FFFFFF;}
.menu3 {background:#90EE90;}
Insert the above code in the template.css at the bottom of the file.
Go to the "Our Nature" menu module. Select the advanced tab and under the
module class suffix line enter menu2 with a leading space.
Now do the same for "Our Shop" menu module except use menu3 with a leading space.

Hi Jrgweb
Thanks for answering me. I did exactly what you suggested, but the block only change to the art-blocks color pink and not the colours I inserted. It looks as if the art-block css overrides it. To make the vertical menu to look styled, I already need to insert art-vmenu in the module class suffix. Is there any other way to make this work? appreciate your help

@Antoinette
I just tested my instructions and it works. Do you have a url?
If you don't want to post then send to website link to jrgweb [at] gmail.com
Make sure the art-vmenu menu2 is under the module class suffix and not menu class suffix.

Hi, I can see in your image that it worked on your side. I made sure it is under the module class suffix. But I just don't seem to get it to work properly. What URL should I send you? Would you mind if I send you the template.css file?

@Antoinette
I just need the url to the website unless it's a local install.
You can send me the zip file and I can test

Hi Antoinette, maybe you can help me, I see you managed to get the backgrounds different colours, well done! Like your design. I'm trying to do the same thing only have different icons for each menu. I've just posted my issue here - http://www.artisteer.com/?post_id=249519&p=forum_post&forum_id=20
jrgweb, any help muchly appreciated too!

Both menu's use the same style but different background.
In the template.css, add this to the bottom.
.art-vmenu2 {background:lightblue!important;}
In joomla by selecting the 2nd menu, go to advanced section, then module class suffix and enter a leading space then art-vmenu2
Tweak as needed.
