Horizontal Menu smaller than Page with |

I am using Artisteer 4.x and i found no possibility to make the horizontal menu
smaller than the page witdh.
For Expample if i make the Page width 80% i want the menu to be 60% but these 2 things are corresponding in artisteer.
I real need it because the h.menu should be right alligned so there is space to get a picture left of it.
no it cant be done with backround image!
if there is no chance with artisteer how do i have to change files to get this? (hmenu in css?)
