Hi!
How to optimize Wordpress template to reduce CPU and Memory usage of server?
I have no problems with other templates created by others. However, all the templates created in Artisteer cause me problems as the excessive consumption of CPU and memory of my server.

That's a good question that I don't have an answer for Judy. Let me do some tests and I'll get back to you.

I've been considering this issue since I'm having resource issues especially if I have the admin panel for both sites opened. It happened when I was also using online testing sites (2).
I am hoping that Trevor's plugin improves resource use as much as 50%.
WordPress is dependent upon the database. When a theme doesn't pass the WP Theme test, (except for items that don't apply) it means there is a higher than necessary activity required to serve the pages. If the theme passes the Theme test with Trevor's plugin, the functionality is more direct and should produce a lighter server load.

I am looking at 2 separate issues - page loading optimization and server loads.
Trevor, your stats blow my mind especially about the custom menu. This is really good information. I hope you get a chance to look at the server loads.
This supports my statement that WP Theme tests are there for a reason - a theme is measured against current standards and practices. Artisteer's results in the standard menu tests are way worse than what I expected. I mean 277 fracking queries vs. 16?!?
There is much more to optimizing both the page loading time and the server load. Even on a cleanly coded theme, WP Super Cache is a good idea. It appears WP Tuxedo is a must!
Geesh.
