I am wanting to know this as well. I just finally got comfortable using templateer and now with all the artisteer updates I cannot use it.

tuxedo diffrent than templateer, but they have good coding. Have good support, with some tricks (you can learn from they forum) you can do much.
They good news is tuxedo will release new up date, you can read on tuxedo forum. Tuxedo still grow up, templateer is death.. support is horrible.....
