Hi

I wonder if someone can help - I'm in the process of updating my website template and there is a large gap between the menu and the body of text.

This doesn't appear whilst in Artisteer - only once it has been uploaded and actived in Wordpress (I'm using the latest version of Wordpress). I'm using Artisteer version 4.2.0.60623 Standard Edition.

The site is: www.teachersfp.co.uk

Does anyone know how to make this gap go away - I can't see anything that I could have done to make it appear?

Thanks

Ged
I'm viewing this in Firefox if that helps.

Your menu has items with no titles and there are more items then fit on one line.

Check your menu an d remove the items with no titles. You have like 9 extr menus listed with no title so no text shows but it created the spaces for them.

Thanks for that.

What you say seems to make sense but I've checked my menu and the only items in it are displayed.

Do you know what could be causing this?

Thanks again

If you view the source code you will see all the extra empty menu items.

Is your menu set to primary navigation with a custom menu or is it auto generated by wordpress?

If I set primary navigation, the space disappears but then only the top menu items show and sub items don't.

I see, maybe it is the way you exported the menu in the theme. It does not support a multimenu with it's current setting.

try adding this to your style.css file at the bottom

ul.art-hmenu > li.menu-item- {display:none !important;}

don't forget to set your menu back like you had it so all the menus show.

Thanks for that.

I'll try it - as a matter of interest how do I export the template so this doesn't cause a problem in the future. I plan to use several templates on this website (changing for seasons etc).

Thanks.

There is an option under menu called levels. You need to just check those settings. Any other setting but the first two should be fine I would think.

Thanks,

I've checked the levels and it was marked as extended and so I have no idea why this is happening.

Any suggestions?

I am not sure what else may cause that to be honest, maybe a plugin.

It looks like just hiding the extra menus did work for you though.
