Sorry, but i'm not happy.
After installing this version i get an error-message during the Wordpress template export. I've checked then my license and i can not activate my license-key, i get an error message. After informing the support they agree with me.
1. So, whats next?
2. Where are the internal Beta-Tester?
3. And - where are the software improvements?

Same problem here! Activation says successful but I'm in trial mode.

If you have issues with the activation, you can activate with your new key, then after the activation, close the program and re start and the activation should take..I still like this program. and I have few others, and still nothi8ng like this, if you are creative this can do allot and... like it says it beta so, some bugs will appear .. I could only ask for more newer template, the flat look in in now and the social looks :)
Like I said many times, if want something good you need put some work into -it! use some imagination, and put it to work, and hopefully the bug will be addressed soon!

Hi NotSheeple, I assume you are referring to Themeler, which is going to be great, i agree, its actually most of the stuff artisteer didn't input inside their software yet.
I am actually thinking that they will take some ideas and maybe some technology from themeler and maybe put it in artisteer as well....... at least you can see there that they can do it, so its probably a marketing decision we are not aware of to take artisteer easy while working on the new software... but hopefully when the new one will be ready they will have some time for old artsy :)

I renewed and Glad I did, also renewed the other, But for me these programs are to spark ideas and schemes to guide me through my own creativeness. If you think for one minute these gens will magically generate every, template the way you like, then you are in the wrong hobby and or business.
like mentioned above, free and very high cost templates, are all over and, that will not work well for anyone. if you want to make money extra cash you need learn how to custom make you own style theme/skin or template for one or 2 of those CMS system/s until you master that.
WP for one is all over the net for Free, not practical at all to start their unless you can beat ELEGANT and s9me other greats. yes I'd learn some, come up with your own style and go from there!, for me just a hobby and like saving money for others.
If your in it to gain $$ from generating templates you have to much competition already there, it's like anything good, they run it into the ground, before we get started! everyone's doing it, don't you know!

I'm referring to people who use Artisteer to make templates to sell or make templates to create their own template stores. Themler is going to make it very hard for people to compete.

Looks like Themler will supersede Artisteer.
You'd have to be mad to support Artisteer any longer after examining the functionality of Themler. But it was mad not to incorporate that functionality into Artisteer 4.2 originally.

I'm only hoping they treat their loyal customers right, I'm still for the program, but not so much for in the sky stuff, I like my privacy. and Not about the Big brother so much the scams out there, identity stuff. Would also like to see more template for the 2014 age in the Artisteer. This is only my second year with them. :)
All this negative stuff never helps anyone.

Both Themler and Artisteer can co-exist and benefit each other, if both continue to be used by our customers.
While working on Themler we were able to gain experience that will help us restructure Artisteer in ways that hopefully will make it more flexible and powerful. We'd like to aim at both products being equally powerful.
Themler is not meant to gain more control over Artisteer users (was this really a concern?), but to fit into the market where many advanced Themes start adding various customization features right within the theme. We simply don't want to fall behind.
Also, some Artisteer users complained through the years that Artisteer is too generic and is not sufficiently integrated with WordPress, or possibly doesn't exactly display Themes as they would be later seen in WordPress, and doesn't allow customizing all aspects of WordPress themes. Thus we were seeking closer integration with WordPress where we can manipulate a theme within WordPress installation itself, live. For now we can manipulate Theme with WordPress installed on our server, therefore Themler is web-based. At the same time this experience may help us find ways to do something similar on the desktop.
Finally, keep in mind that being online, Themler will work on Mac and Linux, while we were simply unable to accomplish this on the desktop.
Also keep in mind that Themler is closer to a development environment and may work better for advanced users.
We're also open to ideas on how to address any of our customers concerns, besides just hearing about those concerns without a solution. Please let us know through our support about any ideas on how we can be a better partner

Any chance Artisteer could switch to bootstrap too for the Joomla templates? I would like to use the easy media queries that are available.
Can Themler import the artx. themes I made on my computer?

thanks for the update on this, but it not clear to me return customer, if there will be an addition charge or free to use the themler, and if so how much, I already paid for an updated 4.3, that is basically the same with bug fix and aa few options I think?)

in addition to ... it is a pity to renounce able to do most of the work offline.
I just paid for the subscription of Artisteer, and frankly, it bothers me to know that I bought a very limited compared to the new one.

@jenifferhomes - I'm not a member of the artisteer team so I won't know until they post some news. News will more than likely be posted under the News menu.
I wouldn't expect Themler to be free as it's a totally different application but might be at a discount to current artisteer users.

I would hope that artisteer continues development on the desktop application but I'm sure that's going to depend on resources.

I only hope they continue to develop Artisteer. It would be a sad day to only use a cloud based product.
As of now the artx files I have are not compatible with the cloud version so the umpteen templates and sites I have already create will be doomed if they don't continue to update the software.

Themler looks promising.... for the moment not usable..but as you say..development.
For myself i choose for a better artisteer offline...
How about customers that are using a artisteer/themler theme that we've build.
Can they modify the theme in themler ?

To be honest, I don't like nor trust the Cloud thing, I think that many will be agreeing on this, this cloud stuff is getting out of controls out of our hands, too much trust in the net , is not good for anyone or any company or Government.
The Internet was started to share technical information freely among individuals, of the related interest, not ass a leech sucking the jobs, life and security for everyone. All my life I was told to come down from the clouds. they for reaming turn vapor to rain, ideas come from the clouds at times, but are put to work in real life. If I pay for something, I want control over it, not it control ove me, Just saying!
To many regulations, to slow and it's not mine! I've been on the web for many years almost from the time it started, and believe me, there is nothing secure about it, and hackers and predators are waiting for you step beyond the, false shield of trust!
That being said I still love the software.
Soon people will have have to wake up and, smell the coffee!

Themler is hard to use and very very very slow. Wow.
It take sooooo long to do stuff and this is on FIOS.

Themeler is very slow, even with a fast internet connection. I don't see it being much use in it's current form. I'd prefer an offline version that functions faster.

Themler looks very nice. Yes its very slow, but its a BETA - don´t forget this.

Artisteer i did not, as there are no really new and nice features.

It's not the speed or the the program, it's the cloud thing, not good and also too many restrictions, lake of user control,... I have many of my own load on and off line, don't need to log-in to something I paid for. And security issue and in the hundreds and up!... I think this cloud thing it a trap, not good for anyone.
I can can go on line and up date any of my websites anytime I wish and have as many sites as I wish.
things getting way out of our hands, and I don't like it one bit and neither should anyone. JMOH

The government will have full control soon. They will be able to target you and completely shut you down. Destroy your lively hood and everything. People better speak up soon. Because after it goes into full effect no one will be able to without worrying about what will happen. You could lose everything you ever worked on.
