3rd party slideshows not functioning in WP w/ Art 4.2

:-X

I'm in the process of upgrading a number of themes previously created in Artisteer 4.0 or 4.1. LOVE the responsive elements, and I don't mind getting my hands dirty with some custom CSS tweaks post-export.

My clients need third-party slideshow plugins because they change them frequently, set them on different pages at different times, etc. Slideshows (WP Slideshow Pro and Slider Pro) do not appear in Art 4.2 themes, like they do in previous versions of Artisteer. (I thought this was a Templateer issue but it happens in straight Artisteer WP templates too.) Using the Artisteer slideshow generator just isn't an option for these sites.

When I open the developer console, here's the error message that seems to be relevant:

So is there a jQuery file not exporting? Or some other issue? One of the client's sandboxes is at rikupgrade.com to give you an idea. I haven't done the CSS edits that I had planned yet, but if you do an F12 you can see where the slideshows are supposed to be on the main page.

Anyone have any ideas?

BTW, this is only a Wordpress 3.9.1 theme issue. I use Artisteer for Drupal 7 themes as well and am having no trouble with slideshows or other animated elements using the Drupal modules. (Example: www.dunwoodycommerce.org is an Artisteer 4.2 theme and it runs like a dream w/ modules that show or hide blocks based on screen size and device detection.)

Have you checked with the plugins site to see if there are newer versions available.

The file you are missing is used to map the Jquery minified version to the uncompressed version used normally for development.

You can see about just downloading and adding the file if it is indeed not in the directory and see if it helps.

Thanx, techtom.
Yes, everything is up to date (double checked the SliderPro from bqworks to make sure) Toggled Use Google LIbraries on and off. Checked different options in the slider control panels. Nothing changes.

I'll take a look at the manual file install option. But still open to other POVs because this is not the only time I will have to deal with this. :-)

And the solution is:

Use a different plugin. :-D

"Photo Gallery" and its slideshow option does the job and I'm able to replace both additional slideshow options I was using, plus install a better option than NextGEN Gallery (which is a rant for another day).

If there are other solutions out there, I'm still listening. :-)

I am doubting the missing file will fix the issue. It seems more likely a javascript conflict.

Do you have a test site you can install the plugin. Then try it in the default theme, then try it by installing an artisteer theme.

I can try them on a sample site if you link which ones you are using and they have a trial or are free.

There are lots of slider plugins available.

I use Royal Slider and Easing Slider or Soliloquy which is powerful.

I am a newbie at this and at page template design. And am bumbling through but for one roadblock:

I have a 4 slide sllde-show header that does not seem to be display correctly across various devices per Responsive Web Design. So I am looking for some guidance from the sages who frequent here.

I seem to have some graphics that are layered so text over a photo is not re-scaling and the 800 px width of the original pictures.Yes flattening them might solve the problem I have yet to try that - So when I choose a fixed px sheet width it displays properly and does not with a fluid%. With a fluid choice: The Slideshow display is affected with a flattened image to a left justification, another similar sized image with no text, justifies to the centre, and layered photos have the text bunch up over the graphics - a head shot of a person fully justified. It seems to display fine with any of the fixed width Settings.

2 Questions:
1) what is the optimal Sheet width for displaying across all platforms?
2) How do I redo the photos and customize them for optimization amongst the various different devices?

So I have as I see it a few choices:

1. Replace the built in Slide-show with which Responsive View WordPress Friendly Slider plug in? Its only 4 pictures.

2. Or could someone give me a quick step by step to customize photos by device type?

Appreciate any help...
