Hi Joey,

Try to disable your antivirus or firewall - maybe they block the connection.

Also, do you have rights to publish to your friend's website? You mentioned that you're not an administrator of his website anymore. If so, you simply don't have enough rights for it, therefore you don't see the name of the website in the drop-down list.

It won't even let me select a different website from the dropdown menu - his was the last one I published to and it's still in the list. I click on the arrow to see the other sites in the list but nothing is happening, it simply does nothing. I'll try what you're suggesting.

I'm an admin in all of the blogs I publish to and it only shows one of them, which is the last one that I edited. I can't change the layout to any of the others. It worked before and now it doesn't.

How do I fix this?

My artisteer is doing the exact same thing for blogger templates. No antivirus or firewall is blocking access

So I asked the staff about this problem, because I also designed my website with Artisteer and run it through Blogger. The person who answered my question said it's a problem on Google's end. Google recently implemented a more secure account feature. I'm not too sure, but a lot of programs that upload from a program into Blogger or a Google run application no longer work.

This post explains it a whole lot better than I could: http://blogging.nitecruzr.net/2015/05/blogger-windows-livewriter-and-similar.html

A solution to uploading to blogger, however, is a bit more complicated but it does exist.

1. When done designing your Blogger template using Artisteer, go to File -> export -> Blogger Template.

2. Give the file a name and save it somewhere you can easily find (such as your desktop).

3. Find and open the folder you just exported. Notice there's a sub folder called 'images'.

4. Go to an online image uploader website and make an account* if you do not already have one. Photobucket, Imgur, any will do as long as you can get a DIRECT link to the photo.

* I recommend making an account so that in the future you can easily use the same image URLs, in case you make small changes, and so you can keep track of the image URLs.

5. Upload all the photos in the 'images' folder from the exported project folder.

6. In the exported project folder, find and right-click main.xml. Open with notepad.

7. Using CRTL+F, one by one find each image file path. This can be found by typing "images/" without the double-quotes. Remember how many images you uploaded as that's how many image paths you'll need to replace. For each one you find in the notepad you'll replace that tidbit with the DIRECT image link. (see below for example)

Direct link refers to a URL ending with .jpeg, .png, .gif

When replacing the image you want to select the following in bold:
Quote :
background: url('images/menuseparator.png') center center no-repeat;

and replace it with your DIRECT image link.
Quote :
background: url('http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e366/ace_emem13/icecreamcone.jpg') center center no-repeat;

Remember to replace what is between the the single-quotes only.

8. Once all the image paths are copied, press CRTL-A and copy everything on the notepad.

9. Log into your Blogger account and find the blog you want to apply this template to.

10. Find Template, then click Edit HTML.

11. Delete all the HTML from the original template, and paste the new HTML you just copied from the Notepad.

12. Save template.

Your new template should not be reflected on your blog. I hope this helps, and isn't too complicated of a tutorial. Let me know if it works for you.
