Hi, usually there is the following reason for such behavior: the template package size is bigger when the max upload file size set in the php settings on your server. It can easily be checked -- there will be no issues with any other templates without content (or of the less size) -- often it is a limit of 2MB.
In this case these solutions can help:
- increasing max upload file size value in the php settings or letting your hosting provider do this;
- using the "Install from Directory" option -- the second, described here:
http://www.artisteer.com/?p=help_joomla#joomla1

However with Joomla version 3.2 for now there can be an issue despite of these reasons -- it is in the process of fixing now .

I was having this problem using Artisterr 4.2 and Joomla 2.5.16. I usually use Chrome and when I clicked on Import Content, nothing happened. I uninstalled the template, and then switched to Firefox and everything worked fine.

I've never encountered this issue before but try using Firefox and see if that works for you.

Could be a problem with the new multilingual feature of Joomla? (I hope this will be fixed soon...) The error apears under the "Import Content from Template" button

Solved:
I could not import content into the latest version of Joomla (3.2.0), so I did some experimenting.

I installed a slightly older version of Joomla (3.1.5) and imported my content.

This worked perfectly so I now know it's a Joomla problem and not an Artisteer problem.

After importing the content, I upgraded Joomla to ver 3.2.0 and everything is fine.

Problem is fixed! I had Artisteer version 4.0xxx and updated it to 4.2xxx
I thought this was going automatic. :)
