HI
Have just installed Joomla 3.2 and upgraded Artisteer to version 4.2. And then I try to upload the template I get the error message:
Error
There was an error uploading this file to the server.

I had this problem with new joomla releases before.
Because of the way Artisteer templates (and other Joomla extensions etc.. too) install it has to be compatible with Joomla first. I suggest stay with Joomla 3.1.5 (it works for me) until you hear from Artisteer that there is an update to work with that version.
Play it safe... if you have administrators or other backend users who can see the Joomla update feature then I suggest get the ACL component. Then what they dont see dont wurry dem!

on the news page is the specs for the new version of Artisteer. Note the bottom line shows support for Joomla 3.1
"Bug fixes and improved support for WordPress and Joomla (Joomla versions up to 3.1)."
anyway i have done about 5 websites on the previous artisteer version and it worked ok with 3.1.5

Hi Loket,
You need to set "755" permission to your "templates" folder from your website hosting admin panel.
The instruction can be found here:
http://www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/how-to-change-joomla-folder-and-file-permissions/
Also try to increase the upload size:

Have the same problem i Joomla 3.2
Solved it by log in to cpanel - filemanager -tmp folder deleted all in there.
Uploaded the template to that folder - extracted it.
Back in Joomla 3.2 I and use install from folder...that do the trick.

Having just spent hours on a template, but can not install on a lack of xml file and a valid package.
Have followed all the advice - deleted everything in / tmp (and then uploaded zip) - fixed file permissions to 755

Tina,
when you mention that "Artisteer 4.2 should now work fine with Joomla 3.2."
do we need to re-download and re-install?
What action is required for us to do?
Also does Artisteer 4.2 support the "Import Content" for Joomla 3.2?

It's an upgrade they've done at their end on their server - no need for you to upgrade, just re-export your template

Artisteer export server was updated to support Joomla 3.2. No updates to Artisteer itself are necessary, just please re-export your web designs that you want to be compatible with Joomla 3.2.
It's necessary to upgrade to Artisteer 4.2 as versions 4.0-4.1 don't support Joomla 3.2.
Artisteer 4.2.0.60623 supports importing content into Joomla 3.2.
Alistair, please contact support team about this issue:

Seppe, what exactly error message do you get when installing a blank or sample template in you Joomla 3.2? Does the same package work for your Joomla 3.1?

Have the same template upload issues. Delete everything in the 'tmp' file and upload again.
Worked for me after wasting 2 hours trying to understand why the XML error.
