New Module Positions in Footer |

Hi All,
Im new to this could someone help i need to ad 3/4 module positions in the footer aree, although the footer is full width i would like this to be 25% each inline with the sheet 1000px. Or is there an easier way.
Im new to Joomla so any help would be appreciated.
