If you already have a Windows 7 license and don't want to deal with virtualization, definitely Bootcamp your Mac.

I just deleted bootcamp because i never use Windows anymore en to
re-install it just only for Artisteer........

Translation

"We have a nice cinema display Mac, and customers were blown away by its "look"

(it's so shiny and smooth ooh ah wow so fashionable and wide it's like totally rad)

and the change to be near it

(they felt so fashionable and cool to sit by a someone using such a cool shiny fashionable computer) while she made instant changes to their site's look and feel.

(Blah Blah Blah Mac can't run VirtualBox worth a crap.)

...we want to be able to use hardware that is beautiful..

(and oh so uber cool and fashionable because we like pretty things and we think pretty things work better)

I run the very latest artisteer4 on both my iMac and macbook pro and they run faster than on my dell laptop. I use VMS as my virtual system with two processors, and 4gb ram assigned to it. As I do not use ipv6 I either turn it off or switch it to manual only as it is known to cause performance issues if not used, also I run all my virtual machines on usb3 external drives.

Thing to make it go even faster:

use ssd drives or usb3 high speed memory sticks like the sandisk extreme 64gb

Upgrade RAM as far as possible, above 8gb is excellent, but 4gb is a minimum

keep you system cool - http://www.crystalidea.com/macs-fan-control

Use thunderbolt instead of usb3

If you want usb3 and raid 0,1,or 5 use : http://softraid.com/pages/purchase.html the free trial continues to work with limited recovery functionality even after the 30 days
:-)
