Paging on home page where there shouldn't be any?

I have my Wordpress install set up as "Front page displays your latest posts" and "Blog pages show at most" set to 10 posts. Yet for some obscure reason on this Artisteer template it only shows me 2 posts, with paging at the bottom to view the others.

Changing the "Blog pages show at most" setting makes no difference at all, and when I switch to a default Wordpress theme all the posts appear on the home page, so clearly something's up with the theme's settings.

I've searched high and low in Artisteer for such a setting but couldn't find it. I've consulted the manual and the forums to no avail.

Can someone enlighten me? Have I missed something or have I just found a bug?

Also are you using any post plugins?

Apologies - should've mentioned Artisteer version is 4.1.0.59861

Fresh install.

Only plugin installed that affects posts is WP Sticky., but that's working fine on another blog with Artisteer theme which is not behaving this way. Also, disabling the plugin has no effect.

Also might want to try clearing any cache plugin.

Can you make sure index.php is not set to use a custom query?

What does the WP Sticky do? Does that set all posts as sticky or certain ones? Like are the two that are showing the only two set as sticky posts?

Oh, and I don't have any caching plugins installed.

This site is set up exactly the same way as another site I have running with an Artisteer theme, and somehow that one works perfectly, just not this one. When I open the artx files of each, in the one that's working properly I see all the posts on the home page, and on the other I only see 2.

So it's got to be Artisteer. Either a bug, or an option I'm missing somewhere?

So is it possible you modified the Artisteer Home page and imported the content? If so then it is just figuring out what you might have set in Artisteer.

I will check in a bit.

Yup that's exactly what I did!

I set the home page as my blog page and then created 4 posts.

You said you are using latest post and not a static home page, right? Seems weird it would not pick up the extra posts. Have you tried to set a temporary static page save settings the switch back to latest posts?

Correct.

Well, it does pick up the posts, but it doesn't display them all on a single page. It has split them up into 2 pages with 2 posts on each page for no reason I can understand.

I tried setting it to a static home page and then back, but that didn't help.

hmm,

It makes no sense then. Do you have a test site you can through the theme on and see if it does the same thing? Try first without importing content then with importing.

OK I fixed it. What I did was in Artisteer I set another page as the blog page, deleted the home page, created a new page called "home" then set it as the blog page.

Voila! All working as expected. The home page somehow must've been corrupted. Don't know how, but anyway... all good now.

I have to pump up this post as I can't find anywhere the way how to fix this. I followed instruction from Marcio Seabra but mine was set to 2 posted per page and it didn't work. Please help us Artisteer team!

Hi everyone, finally I found the solution from Sarah in this post. I hope this help if someone has the same problem and I'm using Artisteer version 4.3.
