Hi, McLeo,

Thanks for posting the findings - I was curious about why the themes couldn't be accepted. There's a lot more reasons than I previously thought.

Export your themes with WP Tuxedo. It passes the WP Theme Check, and the Themeforest Theme check. As a result, all plugins that work with the default themes (Twenty fourteen), will work with Wp tuxedo made themes. An Example of such plugin is Woocommerce menu cart, among many others.

Many users have their priorities wrong as far as complaining about Artisteer - lack of updates, lack of news, outdated design codes, offline export limitations, etc... I think it all starts with a nice, tight, error free code, so the sites will be efficient and not have conflicts with other plugins. Artisteer does not create such code, and Templateer is even worse. Only Wp Tuxedo accomplishes to export WordPress approved code.

But hey, what do I know? Artisteer at one time claimed to have 250,000 customers (and yet is crying for poverty), so they must know what they are doing.

Saving this post, because the truth sometimes hurts - A LOT !!!

Actually they don't pass current them check standards according to both wordpress and theme check sites.

Technically it does not, you are correct on that one. But the 2 points that you get penalized, Trevor correctly ignored those 2 point:

1. They don't allow shortcodes anymore - which is stupid.
2. They don't allow use of CDN - for security reasons. However WP Tuxedo uses CDN to load the Font Awesome files, and their servers are legit. So it was a matter of choosing between your sites loading slower or "passing" the themcheck condition.

Load any WP Tuxedo theme at themecheck.org, and you will get 98%, 1 point deducted for each reason mentioned above. This changed in April of 2015, which until then the themes WERE getting a perfect scores of 100%. I am perfectly happy in ignoring the 2 deductions from my perfect score, so I can have my shortcodes, and load Font Awesome from CDN, for increased speed.

But yes, since April 2015, the themes get a score of 98% !

:-D Trevor says he has a new update for us with WP Tuxedo soon. I wonder what he's done to improve it.
