Please see vmenu here at top right called What's New?: http://174.120.23.124/~albertal/. It is not working - it is supposed to have nice colored bars that change color when active, rather than be a list of links.
In the advanced parameters for the module, I see in J-3 there are two places where you can specify a module style: Module Class Suffix (where I entered art-vmenu) and down further Module Style (where I chose artvmenu from the list). I tried these methods separately and together, and in all cases the vmenu is broken.
This is my first kick at Joomla 3 so maybe I'm missing something. What am I doing wrong? My menu suffix is art- as per the template default - I did not change it.

Did you also assigned a menu-item where the vmenu should appear ?
In J3 there's a tab called "menu assignment". You should enable the pages where the menu should appear.

I have the same problem. Menu shows but without Art styling.

Found a solution. Need to put an empty space in the front of the art-vmenu (or xxx-vmenu, depending if you renamed classes)

Ich gehe davon aus, dass dies ein generelles Artisteer-Problem mit J3.1.1 ist...
Da muss wohl auf die nächste Artisteer version gewartet werden.

If you changed the "art-" prefix to something else from export options, you need to use your custom prefix, for example you used prefix "abc-" than you should use "abc-vmenu" prefix.

Hi all,
I have a few corrections:
1. make sure that you added exactly MODULE class suffix, not MENU class suffix (it's important)
2. DO NOT add leading space before any Artisteer suffixes including art-vmenu
3. As mentioned by Garry you should replace art- prefix with custom prefix if you changed it in Artisteer.
4. the Artisteer Vertical Menu style can be fully applied to the native Joomla menu module only.
