You can manually add it to your header div in header.php, but it's not a very easy solution. Can you send me a link to your site, as well as to the video on youtube or wherever?

Did you ever put together a video or tutorial on how to do this? I'd like to be able to add a video into a section of the header and nothing's working so far.

Try this:

1) Within Artisteer, click on the "Header" tab @ the top of the screen.
2) The 5th group of options from the left is "Insert" - You'll see in there "Controls." Click on that and a dropdown menu appears.
3) The very last option in that menu is "Position." Select this & in your header area you'll see a box appear with "CONTROL-ID" in it.
4) Move and resize the "CONTROL-ID" box to where you want the video to appear.
5) Save and export your theme.
6) Go into the Dashboard of your Wordpress website, upload your theme and activate it.
7) In the Dashboard options select Appearance > Widgets.
8) You'll see widget area called, "Header CONTROL-ID Widget Area"
9) Add a text widget to the "Header CONTROL-ID Widget Area" and, within that text widget, enter the coding to display your video.

Thanks for this help.

I was able to add a YouTube video to a header creating a Shape, making it transparent, and then adding the YouTube embed code. The problem (so far) is that the video appears only in IE and Chrome browsers for some reason, so i've just kind of given up on the idea for now because I wonder if it would defeat my SEO and ultimately be unwatchable to certain site visitors with older browsers or with Flash issues.
