Template not exporting fully

I uplaoded to Joomla admin page and set as default. I have the header, background, blocks but it is not using the content that I set e.g. tables layout, text layout, links layout. Also, at the bottom of the template it has 'Link1 Link2 Link3' how do I get rid of this? Go back home if menu item to default. if you want to delete the other menus that was created.
