1. Dialog to edit or add to <head></head> (this would let us do a lot)
2. The ability to declare the page suffix - html or htm
3. A dialog to add google analytics code
4. a ruler function
5.. a spell check function
6. redundant CSS removed from exported files
7. A live css view / edit of page elements
8. A almost ready to run contact form

So basically you want Artisteer to make a complete cms for you.

Why not just use Wordpress then?

Some of the above suggestions are handled by various CMS plug-ins/modules. I would think it would be better for end users learn their CMS's, some basic html and css, rather than have Artisteer build in a lot of overhead and concentrate on better design tools.

I agree, lets not get carried away. However, to add a few common things that a static website normally has like a contact form would be nice. That and a spellchecker.

The problem with using Wordpress for everything is security and updates. If you have a static content site then there is no maintenance and it's WAY faster. So the basic things are needed.

I would love for them to:-

1. Allow custom separators in the menu.
2. Give the option if you would like button or full menu in responsive.
3. Spell checker - I know it is more for the template than the content, but seeing that content is offered why not have the spell checker function.
4. Logo which does not disappear (without manual coding) for responsive designs.
5. Remove - any reference to Artisteer in the coding - and about / read me files.

# 2 & 4 are already in the internal version and that is 2 months old so hopefully the spellcheck is coming. I am using a 3rd party program to search and replace anyway so I remove the Artisteer stuff myself.

I take it you like cutting corners and providing sloppy, low end work. Credit to ya!

Wow. War back on.

Your a piece of work. In wwii you'd be a Nazi sympathizer .

It's not about cutting corners. It's about effencieny. Why should I charge a client $5000 for a hand coded website like we used too. When I can now do the same thing for a $1000?

Instead of spending 20 hours on the theme and I spend that 20 hours on something else.

According to your own logic using a camera to take a photo is lazy when you could have just painted the picture yourself.

Hell why use a washing machine when you can clean your own cloths by hand?

I suspect you have mental problems. It seems pretty clear from your obsession and how you like to take a dump on everyone that's trying to get Extensoft to clean up their act.

Your so full of words. I bet you look in the mirror and practice. Please respond with another wall of useless text. Made you do it. lol

You have nothing better to do after all.

WTF if your such an expert why the hell are you using the software in the first place? Fcking Hippocratic Contrarian.

You must be a Mac.

I use it for the same reasons as you on certain jobs.........

You flamed me in the early posts, so James

Even though our needs are different with this software, we can agree on certain issues. I want to be civil with you, but this banter we've been having is fun and not productive.
I have never once been rude to you once in our exchanges.

I have read your other post and you are a decent guy and have some valued comments.

Its just the shooting people down in flames, (I like the challenge....and we have had some fun in the banter), I can appreciate your anger with the new 4.2 changes.

I take it your a FULL time Template Creator these changes affect your living.

I do understand your anger, I would be angry too if I just made templates for a living.

But on a serious note: I am interested in your thoughts in regards to this product, you've been using it since 2009. So an experience user and I bet you have made some awesome templates.

Your an intelligent guy, you know that people who use this product use it in many different ways that's the beauty of this product. Said users may not be affected by these changes, I am one of those users. I totally understand USER you have been affected and as mentioned in a previous post I support you on those issues.

I still love the product, as you have said its awesome.....but I haven't had the issues with Extensoft as some of you have had. I am sorry that I have not experience this from them, I only have OK experiences and some bug bares...Coz its so buggy...

So up to you, we can still have fun with the banter or we could just discuss the pros and cons.... sensibly...upto you............We've had our fun, lets shake hands and move on....

1. I would like to be able to put a word, like MENU, centered to the side of the button for the responsive menu. I'd also like the whole area - not just the button - to be clickable.

2. An actual background for the Footer.

3. The ability to define and build a second horizontal menu and place it anywhere, including the footer.

Here's a big idea... how about being able to edit the layout for all of the responsive modes? Not just the header, but be able to edit visibility for all items in a layout, and their position/size/etc, for each mode?
