Hi,
I've found bug in 4.1 beta.
There are no footer wiget areas in generated tempates.
Some solutions?

Go into Theme Options from the WP Admin panel and change the default footers.

No, it's definitely a bug. I don't see anywhere in the WP Admin Panel to enable widgets, only replace the footer content with text or html code.

According to their tech support, the WP export has been changed. Check that replace box and then look at the widget menu for the footers.

Just to touch base a little more on this - I have found that in order to get the widget areas in the footer like we had in 4.0, you have to add how many widget areas you want prior to the export to the footer area.
If you have a one cell footer and click the checkbox, you'll get one footer area. If you set the layout of the footer to include 4 DIVs, you'll have 4 widget areas....kind of a pain in the neck on this one.

Nevermind, just wipe out the entire footer coding and you get them all as well...

And? I'm looking but I still don't see any way of adding widgets into the footer. Especially if you want to add 4 widgets into the 4 footer areas like the previous version of Artisteer.
Maybe someone can explain this with a bit more detail.

I will eventually use Templateer and in looking at the code, those are the widgets I see.
Here is the reply from tech support:
"In Artisteer 4.1 we have implemented the content layout for the footer as well.
You need to add layout columns to the footer in Artisteer.
Just put the mouse in the footer and from the Edit tab add the Layout cells.
After installing the template in WP there would be different Footer widget areas."
in further clarification:
"You can create a footer layout in Artisteer - click on the Footer and create a layout using the Layout option on the Edit tab.
After that you will have as many Footer widget areas as you created in Artisteer.
If you don't want to create a layout in Artisteer, then you can go to WP - Appearance - Theme Options and check the option "Override default theme footer content".
You will have 4 default Footer widget areas then."

Hi Mike,
Each cell in Footer will be transformed to a widget area after exporting.
Click on the Footer area and use Layout options from the Edit tab to create cells/layout:
Best regards,

Would be great if you could add 6 columns. Only looks like 5 are possible
