WPMU - WordPress Multisite Questions |

Hello everyone,
a few weeks ago, I switched webhost which, as many of you know, is a lot of work but it had to be done.
I took advantage of starting over and set up a WordPress MU site with several sub domains.
My main site is:
http://littlecomposers.com
and the sub domains are:
prepiano.littlecomposers.com
academy.littlecomposers.com
ernstrenner (which is my personal blog / "mess around" playground)
Here are the issues ...
prepiano receives a lot of traffic and I almost regret the sub-domain install because alexa doesn't track sub-domains until the main site is in the top 100000.
Google removed the page rank from LittleComposers.com ... which I don't understand why because nothing changed. It just went to zero a few days ago.
Are any of you running WPMU sites?
I could use a few hints and tips regarding if this is a good idea.
All my themes are made with Artisteer 3 running on a Mac and 1200 pixels wide because I am after the desktop audience.
My mobile apps will cater to phone and tablet users ... but that is still a few months off.

I knew I forgot something.
When I add a new site, I forward the proper URL to the sub domain which works but google will not list the site in the search results.
Have any of you set up a WP multisite and then gone back to singe instances, separating each site as a single stand-alone website?
I really could use some advise on this before I add all the content.

This is an interesting article about SEO. In short, don't bother with SEO, just concentrate on good, frequently updated content.

Google is punishing you for whatever reason. Google's new ranking system started a few months ago.

thanks for that link.
I'll keep evaluating the WPMU setup and if things don't change, I'll take it appart like it used to be.
I suppose Rom wasn't built in a day so I'll see how things go next month...
