Artisteer 4.0 for Windows Released!
September 29, 2012
Artisteer 4.0 RC2 for Windows (4.0.0.58240)
September 20, 2012
Artisteer 4.0 RC for Windows (4.0.0.57793)
September 9, 2012
I'm a little confused by the above. In the first announcement shown above, it says Artisteer 4.0 for Windows was released on 9/29....but it shows that Artisteer 4.0 for Windows was released on 9/09, then Artisteer 4.0 RC2 on 9/20...so is this one that was last released Artisteer 4.0 RC3 or what?

The one released on September 29 is supposedly the final release of v 4 although there still seems to be issues (e.g. cross-browser support) that needs resolving and therefore it should not have been released as "final".

actually I think this should not have been called V4 at all.. It shoudl be called Artisteer website builder V1
V3 was a template designer
V4 is a website template and content designer.
Once a template is installed and further content added i.e. client using CMS etc... you cant update the template without losing the template content or the client efforts using CMS.

What a bunch of crap! You don't have to import the content in your cms, and still use it as a template generator only.
SO DON'T IMPORT THE CONTENT, JUST THE TEMPLATE, IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT !!!
And btw, you don't lose anything. when you import the content, a custom menu is generated. All you have to do, is add your previous pages to this menu. Spend 5 minutes to learn the product, then start being a smart ass about.

Quote from artisteer......"In version 4.0, you can design your template and create pages with content for any type of CMS."
The previous pages get deleted when you apply a new or teaked template with V4 if you include content. techically the quote is correct but remember "content" includes a lot of the new features.
BTW I spent more than just 5 minutes on it.

Y'all are getting a bit off the point of the question, which, incidentally, has not been answered...

The one released 9/9 was release candidate 1 (RC = Release candidate 1), it clearly says so in the title. The one after that (20/9) was release candidate 2. Finally the one released 29/9 was the final candidate.

Gotcha. So then the bugs that were reported in RC1 and RC2 have been worked out of the final release?
