If you are a WordPress user, with Art. 4.0, you can change the header for each page from the page edit screen.

I know that, but if I change the header in the second page, the header in the first page changes also. So I end up with 1 changed header in home and second page etc. in stead of the original one in the homepage and another one in the second page!

Artisteer 4 enables a load of theme options on the WP admin side. You can set the header object in the WP Page Editor (make sure you open Screen Opions at top of page and enable Theme Options and Page Header Image. Then you will have the page level capabilities you need.

Headspace is a great plugin but is overkill for the purpose of just changing the header image. If yo then find you need to change the site look an feel you will need to edit multiple themes in Artisteer unless you are happy with css editing when you will need to edit css in multiple themes.

The extended WP side editing options are probably the best part of Art 4, since the slider is a bit of a lame duck and responsive kinda works but not that well and the Artisteer side page editing is a bit of a white elephant.

Hi Richard,

Yes I know that, but every page of the website I am developing for a client of mine has not only just a different header background, but several transparent PNG files as overlays.

So it would be nice to make a different header for every page from within Artisteer 4.

De theme css is now final, so no big deal exporting the different themes and connecting them to every single page.

Would have saved us bother if you'd actually told us the detail of what you were trying to do at the outset.

Can't help thinking that your approach is a bit of a sledgehammer, loading the end user with 250k of pointless stacked images on top of header.jpg, most of them heavy PNGs, when a simple composition of the required elements in Photoshop or Gimp produces a single jpg. This could be allocated to the page header in WP and costs 50% less bandwidth to the viewer.

Took me all of two minutes to create a composite in Gimp. To get the logo position identical a single xcf or psd project could take the elements of all the headers and using layer visibility any one could be exported to JPG in seconds.

My question was :
"I would like to have a different header in every page with Artisteer 4.0. "
Not from within Wordpress.

But I think you are quite right Richard, I changed the headers to JPEG files, one theme and within wordpress changed the header for every page. Loads a lot faster!

That is not possible Cees, at least not until you export the the template/site and change the code.
