Just had a look at the NEWS section, 29th September and see that Artisteer 4.0 for Windows is released.

Just downloaded and opened a previously created template.
Still loosing the header image on smartphone and also cannot seem to collapse the vertical menu as you can in Twitter Bootstrap. So viewing on a smartphone the display is taken up with the menu, have to scroll down to see content.
My only work around at the moment is to only show the menu on the 'Home' page and use 'Breadcrumps' to navigate.

For anyone, like me, that likes a User Guide, that is also available, http://files3.artisteer.com/Artisteer4_User_Manual.pdf

I think that I now understand why I loose the header image on a smartphone.
The User Guide states the following:
Please note, that foreground images, slideshow, and flash animations in Header are disabled in responsive design. The layout and menu also change, so a three -column layout may be rearranged in two columns or even one column. The content does not disappear, but is just pushed down.

If you use my notes for a clickable logo in the header, your logo will stay there. This means NOT using foreground image and using the "Header Shapes" instead, then editing the html.
See here:

This is probably to save 3g bandwidth and kinda makes sense. You should be able to alter this though if you don't want this behaviour. Interesting to know whether they are not loaded at all or just hidden. If the latter then there is little tangible benefit over a properly flexing header image. Ideally you may want to load a smaller image that sizes to the screen width for smaller screen widths. You'd need to think how to do that. A media query setting the image in css could probably succeed.

Hi mark C/ Richard
Thanks for your support and advise, I will have a close look at your solution Mark.

Hmm
|
Isn't there a checkbox in the theme options to make it clickable now?

That's for the Sitename (text), not for imported logos (graphics)...

Why I can not upgrade to Artisteer 4.0 for Windows if I have a suscription?

If you have a logo on the header as a n art object you can makes these still show by editig the rsponsive css to prevent them from being hidden. You might want to, however, wither ensure the size is going to fit the smaller device, or handle resizing or alternative source in css.

@ Adriana
You need to import content, in Joomla go to template manager-> edit style and you'll see an import content option on right side.
