When Artisteer 4 beta 1 was released I was very disappointed to see that there was no longer a template view option, like in previous versions of Artisteer. I was then happy to read in the forums that we would be getting back the option before Artisteer 4 was released, and again I felt disappointment when I launched RC1 and found no template view option.
I understand that Artisteer is used for many different CMS and for HTML sites so it needs to accommodate variations. I also understand that Artisteer wants to become a all in one web site management tool. But what I am hoping that the Artisteer team understands is that many of us purchased the application for work on templates for Joomla and the template view feature was a big selling point.
I know that I can still use Artisteer 4 to design Joomla templates once I get used to the new layout. What I am saying is that being able to seeing the features that are relevant to Joomla, or what ever CMS I am working in, and how my changes effect them is what made Artisteer so good.
We should be able to choose the CMS we want to design for and have the work space mimic that CMS so we can see the effect of changes in real time. Please bring this back!

Does it matter? I, joomla its called a module position, in wp a widget. Its the same.

I completely agree with FloridaMike...The ability to choose the layout of the CMS you work with is essential.
When Artisteer indicated they would include this in this release I suspected they were full of sh*t! They have now confirmed my suspicions!!

WTF

I'm also completely agree with FloridaMike. This is going to cost them a lot of customers. Poor management?

They are NOT listening!

They said they would put this feature back...but they did not! I have no idea why they think adding content within Artisteer is needed. Based on the feedback in the forums, MOST people use Artisteer for CMS templates, primarily Wordpress and Joomla. I use Joomla and will not add content in Artisteer...that's what Joomla is for.
Artisteer...LISTEN to your customers!!!

Joomla users think are superior compared to the rest. So as an elitist, figure it out.
I'm ecstatic with 4.0. I love everything about it once the bugs are worked out.
So I guess they listened to me, and not you. Live with it or move on, crybabies.

The "Blog" style page has most of the article items visible in joomla. If you add a blog page, you will be able to see most of those items.

@Andy, I know Joomla templates can be made with Artisteer 4, but what I and the other Joomla users are asking for is to keep the template layout view that we have had in all other versions of Artisteer.
It was very convenient to see to see all the Joomla position elements and how the changes effected them in real time. It was that connivance that lead me to purchase Artisteer and it's absence will cause me to think twice about purchasing further licenses.
And this does not only effect Joomla, it also effected other CMSs, I mention Joomla because it is the one I use the most.

Mark the username "Bring back the CMS preview for Joomla, Drupal and Wordpress!!!" As spam to delete that post so the format will return to normal.

Quote Leonid:
In the next Artisteer update there will be the page with all style elements listed on it, like it were in 3.1.
Hope this will solve the problem.
NOPE, no cms views??? Why Leonid, WHY??
