Showing Artisteer Sample Screenshots

I'm trying to re-organize my portfolio and have a question pertaining to copyright:
Is it wrong to show screenshots of Artisteer sample pages as part of a portfolio of possible websites I can create for clients? Of course the actual website would be different from the sample file and not look exactly like the screenshot image, but the screenshots do help give an example of what can be done when one doesn't necessarily have lots of clients yet.

What do you think?

Any intellectual property (content, images, etc...) you create, automatically by law, belong to you, and are copyrighted to you.

That said, legally speaking you have 2 choice here, either re create the screenshots you want to use yourself, make very minor changes to them, to prove that you created the screenshots, or simply get a written permission from Artisteer.

I don't expect Artisteer would object, specially that you would be advertising their product, but again, what the hell do I know? So, if I were you, before doing something that could put you in jeopardy, contact customer support and ask them directly.

Good idea. It's easiest to just open up each one, make some changes, and save it as a screenshot. That way the client can see a very accurate sample of what I can do - and can do at the drop of a hat with the Artx file - and I can just tell them to pick one they like and we'll modify it and go from there.

But you know what? I have another question related to this after I thought for a few minutes....The images that come from using Flickr for the background/header shots, are those copyright free as well? I don't know anything about flickr and never used it.
