Still missing a possibility to create external link in the menu item...
Some webcreators doesn't export prepared sites with Aristeer to joomla or other!
Please change it with finall 4.0 version ;)

The same for me.
Actually Artisteer is useless to me.

You can overcome this easily by:

1. Manually edit the html pages, and change the menus, it will only take seconds, or

2. Create a page, then edit the page externally, and replace everything with:

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; url=http://www.google.com">

This is going to redirect the page automatically to google.com.

Except the awesome page layout tools, Artisteer has a long way to catch up with the other editors. That said, the editing capabilities are fairly new (since 3.0), so it's understandable. I ALWAYS use a cms to build professional web sites, but if I had to, I would still use Artisteer over Dreamweaver and the others, even though it's weak and incomplete, but these shortcomings are overcome with the excellent template engine that Artisteer offers, that no other software comes remotely close.

Thanks Nick, however it would take much longer than seconds. My page is in two languages, most of the links have sublinks and totally it would be 60 or more single pages to edit.

Each language has about 3-5 external links.

I don't understand your second solution, but I don't want any redirections to google.

Besides, you have to re-edit your external pages everytime you change anything in Artisteer.
Unfortunately a lot of times I get a solution form support, saying: "well, just edit the export, there and there"
But that's not a real solution because you have to redo it everytime you change your template.

I also want external links in the menu system!
Seems to me a flaw to make!
Come on development!

@ Ursula: The redirection to Google was an example. You can change the url to anything you want.

It doesn't matter if you have 3 pages or 3,000 pages, with some creativity, you can achieve what you want within seconds.

I am using Notepad++ for the demo. I will use it's "Find in files" command to find and replace my menu in ALL the files from my Artisteer web site.

Actually, I will have to use the command twice, as you can see in the video. So I created a page called Yahoo in Artisteer, and used Notepad++ to change the menu of all pages to http://www.yahoo.com, in 2 commands. Again, it will be the same, if I had 3,000 pages.

Here it is: http://bakcovers.com/files1122/exlinks/

Nick, thanks a lot for your support. I downloaded Notepad and followed your instructions and it works. At least I shall finish the site with Artisteer.

However, this is not a real solution and I really don't understand why the possibility of external link is not included in the menus.
Making external links is possible in the footer.

So, I suppose that is realy difficult for developers to implement it as the same thing like no clickable position in the menu...
