Well, apart from few tests I opened my recent site done in 3.x in new 4.x beta. The site looked a bit differently, so I opened my design in both versions.
Now WTF? What is the reason, under the same settings, to have a different look? Now in 4.0, under the SAME settings, background is popping up more, as well as footer looks differently (darker), and colors look a bit shifted, as well as THE SAME gradient makes different effect? Were any alghoritms reimlemented or what?
Please stop messing with our designs for no apparent reason! I can understand new stuff breaks the design (e.g. header improvement) and that's perfectly valid, but don't push us to readjust each color, transparency, gradients, so that our site looks the same under both versions?
Could anyone else please try opening 3.x design in both versions, and check on this? Thanks ...

Opening an older template aka 3.1 template in both versions, look identical to me. I tried with 3 different templates originally made by Art. 3.1.
May be I'm not using the same components as you, who knows?

I agree with -pekr-!! This only happens on some templates and it's related to CSS and images and maybe jscripts.
Then if you install it into joomla, omg it really gets crazy. I have not tried wp as of yet.
