Adding shapes to content boxes with hyperlink clicks |

It sounds a very simple want, but I'm stuck for a solution even with Artisteer Beta 4. In a self contained Artisteer website (no CMS) I can add a picture to a content box and attach a hyperlink to that picture. All I want to is to make that picture a shape possibly with some writing on it and attach a hyperlink that that instead. Short of designing the shape in a different application and saving it as a picture and then picking that up from insert image there doesn't seem anyway of doing this. Unless someone else knows differently in which case I would love a solution.
Essentially I want to design a large button to add to a content box (not the header. Artisteer 4 seems to support the header but not anywhere else - I'm trying to construct a sort of button push styled control panel with differnet links under each shape/button.
