Well, OS X 10.8 is here, Mountain Lion. Artisteer isn't signed, and as such Mountain Lion won't open it. Hoping a new spin of 3.1 will be forthcoming with a signature. It should otherwise work.

Sure would be nice if the Mac users didn't get the distinct impression they were an afterthought with releases always behind. Guess our money isn't as good as the Windows folks.

@ ds10

Suggesting it to Artisteer support may be very helpful: http://www.artisteer.com/?p=support

Mountain Lion will open Artisteer just fine.

The default setting for Mountain Lion's Gatekeeper is for only Mac App Store or signed apps to run but you can change that to allow all apps to run if you wish.

You don't have to do that though - if you ctrl-click or right-click on the Artisteer app, or any other unsigned app, then select 'Open' you will be given the option to open the application and thus bypass Gatekeeper. This means you can keep Gatekeeper's default setting and selectively bypass it.
