When I export to html it's not creating the index.html file.
All other pages are created fine.
Using upgraded Artisteer 3 artx to 4 files.
Any ideas?

I am not sure it it's done on purpose or not... but,
Simply make a copy of new-page.html, and rename it index.html, or default.html for Windows servers.

BTW, it happens to brand new 4.0 templates to, it's not an upgrade issue, but what 4.0 generates...

What is the correct directory layout so an html Artisteer site will display correctly? The site exported does not render in Dreamweaver the same way it does in Artisteer.
For example, the site I get in dreamweaver has broken links to css, scripts, and images.

Another thing: when exporting to HTML, why do I get all this cms stuff like: commented, visited etc uder the article? Is there a way to get rid of it? I do not mean to use the template for a cms. I need to create a basic HTML site. Thanks for help in advance...

You can simply upload in root directory of your hosting account.
Artisteer relies heavily of advance CSS properties that all WYSIWYG editors can't render properly.
