As long as they use mono in the mac version, it will not be faster. They need to code a complete new native Mac version, but i don't think that they will do it, maybe we are too few mac users.
Hope that the Version 4 not is mono but a nativ mac app else they will loose some mac customers, you cant not use a app that is extreme slow...

As a mac user waiting for the 4.0 mac version, I´ve tested now v.4.0 for windows via parallels/virtual machine and win XP on a mac OS 10.7.
No issues occured so far

Well I'm a MAC user and been waiting for any working version (DNN) and my subscription is going to expire also. If it working in parallell with windows is fine but thats not why I got it. I wanted to work in OSX.

I just bought a license based on past experience with a demo version that was quite ok. The 3.1 mac beta version is slow and not so stable in handling I must admit. Kind of a disappointment for a fist use 
I want to make a CMS export for Zikula with version 4.0, but now I see that the mac version is not planned yet. That is also not what I hoped for. Please artisteer make a somewhat faster Mac application and a 4.0 version.

I've been using Artisteer since 2009, but am no delaying my subscription to get updates - mainly because it seams they are not supporting Mac OS Mountain Lion...
What is happening Artisteer? Are you going to release a candidate for Moutain Lion?

I join in with all of you not just with the request of a Mac version of 4.0 but also to say that I believe that the team at Artisteer doesn't really care too much about what the Mac community desires.
Because honestly as long as we continue to pay for the product and the updates to these sub par beta versions they will just continue to bait us along in making us believe and hope that one day maybe we'll have a legit optimized full running version of Artisteer for Mac.
I really hope and pray that this isn't the case, but after being in the business as a freelance designer way too long, you kind of get a feel for people who like to string you along trying to make you think they will fulfill their end of the bargain. Artisteer doesn't really care too much about what the Mac community desires.

I came by here to see what the word was on 4.0 for Mac after getting all excited about the new features in Windows 4.0...only to find that there doesn't seem to be any news on when we Mac users are going to get to play with all the fun toys. This is very frustrating. Why do we Mac users always end up being the redheaded stepchildren??
I'm willing to be patient...up to a point...but I'll start looking elsewhere if Artisteer isn't going to give me (and my clients) the functionality we need.

Artisteer should grant Mac-users a longer period for free updates, because we mainly function as a test-environment...
My upgrade period expires oct 13th...! I'm not eager to pay - again - for an upgrade to V4.0

Agreed about the longer update period for Mac users. If you aren't even going to start work on the (buggy, slow, memory leaking) Mac version until you polish the Windows version, we automatically get months of lag in our updates. You announced this in July, and here it is Mid-October.
A subscription with no updates isn't worth a whole lot. Alternatively, you could discount the price to reflect the lack of updates.

Maybe if they are flooded by tickets from Mac users they'll realize they need to treat us as equals to windows customers.

wow! 2 more months to have the mac OS 4.0 version?!?!?!
I just sent them a message using their support page. By now I would like to use it with a win virtual machine, but I told them as well tha is very slow on my iMac (quad core 3.4Ghz, 32 Gb ram, 2Gb GPU...  ).
I hope this delay is because they are trying to do a real mac sw

I have used Artisteer for some time now, and am disappointed in the lack of feedback on a Version 4.0 for Mac. Before this version was released, the sample templates were all updated for v4 making them unusable for me.
