will it be possible to upgrade the template you make in 3.1 to 4.0 fully CSS3 (or HTML5) I've put it in parenthesis because I'm reading everywhere that HTML5 is not supported by many browsers yet...

I think Artisteer 4 would have an option to select between traditional markup and HTML5+CSS3.

doubting is not an option right now..

I have to make a website for a newspaper company I know that artisteer will be releasing their new version soon so why do the project now if instead I can wait for the launch of 4.0 (having CSS3 or hmtl5)... or do it now as they want it and if there's the option to upgrade the template to 4.0 if one of the developers can give me a definite answer would be nice! I'm a paid user!

Historically speaking, thus far, Artisteer always automatically upgrades a template made by an older version of Artisteer. I don't see why this will stop with 4.0.

Getting an official definite answer on this would be great, as well as what is the purpose of html5 + CSS3? Are we actually talking about responsive designs (I am praying for it!!!), or something else, which for sure will disappoint many.

Like to see more efficient CSS (too much extra stuff churned out). An optimization engine (i'm seeing this more and more) that generates the CSS you only need. Better support for SEO too. Also better use of assets and whether the exported HTML can actually be generated as PHP/JSP but split as loadable assets. e.g. menu's, footers, content elements so they can be used with more with CMS (which i know is planned for later).
