'No news is good news' they say. Not when it comes to software apps.
Artisteer staff has engaged in forums - very occasionally - and then ofcourse there was that newsletter a couple of months ago. But in the main there is a deafening silence.
Folks might be more ready to renew subscriptions if there was a healthy dialogue between Artisteer and its users.
Prospective buyers read forums to gauge a vendor's commitment to its users and to future product development. If all they see is tumbleweed rolling through the forums, they are likely to move on.

To be fair to artisteer they don't post in the forums because they give full an individual support to those who renew their licence each year, that would be of little benefit as a reason to renew if they answered every call for request in the forums.
As i understand it the forums are simply for users to support each other.
you are correct though I held off my renewal until it looked like a new version was actually near.
