Where to host template images?

Hi,

I have a blogger website, setup a couple of years back, using Artisteer 2. As I had a a rented private server I decided to host all the graphics for my template there, so all my graphics reference are of the form:

background-image: url('http://85.17.234.17/template-images/Page-BgTexture.jpg');

where 85.17.234.17 is the IP address of my server.

I am now giving up my server (which I originally rented to host a 3D Virtual World) so I need to move my template-images folder to a new host.

Can anyone recommend a good images/graphics hosting site, that allows direct references, and is fast?

Ideally I would just like to replace the old IP address with a new one, or DNS name, so it would be simple to do a Search and Replace in my template html.

You could use Imageshack, TinyPic or even acquire some cheap hosting yourself from GoDaddy, Host Gator, etc.

Some ISPs even offer free FTP /web hosting depending on who you're with as well.

Thanks Peter.

I think Imageshack forbids the use of their service for hosting website graphics. Here are the specific conditions:

Above subscriptions plans (including the free hosting and premium plans) do not apply for API users and users uploading images into their ImageShack accounts for promotional services, products or using our service as an image hosting platform on their website, web blog, applications, etc.

Will try TinyPic next

Thanks again

What is better for me to rent regular hosting for the site or vps hosting? Can you advise, I am currently developing my website with my works. There will be like pages with the ability to view my work on the layout of sites and design.

The scaling of the server is one of the most basic requirements that you should look at with hosting providers before you order services from them. We ordered a Dedicated Server in the Netherlands https://www.hostzealot.com/servers/location-netherlands from this company. When we began to lack one server, we asked them to add another one. To make our website work correctly, cause our monthly users are already over 25,000.

Thanks for giving me the details regarding this. I am an image editor myself and I am always interested in this.
