You could make templates load really fast by enabling CSS3 isntead of allt he gradients and stuff.
CSS3 has so many neat options that would enable you to do custom gradients/looks without the need to splice and sprite images, etc.
I'd like a huge step up to CSS3 :D create multiple shadows, glows to texts and borders
