Maybe its possible to have a option in the header to resize the fonts on the website for the users.

if you want to make a website for cumunity purpose, in almost all cases this is a requirement and you won't get the job if you can't.
Joomla, wordpress, drupal etc are for the comunity. if you want to be a serious player this is a must.
