Paragraph and heading spacing

In most Wordpress themes, there is some white space (say, 6 to 12 pixels) set as default between paragraphs and most headings.
On Artisteer, the default is 0 (zero). So if you create a theme with default spacing, you wind up with posts where the content is all squished up together. Awful!
I know I can go in and set them all myself, but why should I have to? Who in the world leaves no spaces between their paragraphs? Dumb.
