Hi,
I've Joomla 1.7.2 & Artisteer .3.0.0.41778 & I have no menus displayed in Joomla once I import. The actual template is OK, just missing the menus completely.
Here's my issue.
1) Create new template in Artisteer - I'm using a default sample template with no modifications / changes.
2) Export template as a Joomla template (.zip)
3) Install template in Joomla in Extension manager
4) Go to template manager & make it the default - done.
Now the site displays the new template but there are no menu options any more. For some reason the Artisteer template is not including any menus.
I've looked at all the FAQ's / readme's but they're referring to older Artisteer & Joomla and the options referred to are either not there or very different. Help anyone??!!!!
Kindest Regards
Phil B

Hi, f1lby,
If you created a template with a menu and you have your menu active in admin, then it's really weird that it is not displayed. Can you provide the link?

@f1lby
Make sure that you have added the menu into proper position and configure module class suffix as described here: http://www.artisteer.com/?p=help_joomla

What's odd is that Joomla 1.7 / Artisteer doesn't look like any of the examples offered
There's no option to choose the version of Joomla (no dropdown when exporting). Artisteer - File, Export - Joomla Template - The positions option is missing too. I think this is the main issue here, not being able to choose the correct version of Joomla to export the template properly...

In the export options you can choose the template version by typing a version number but I don't think this has any effect on the template version (as I can type in whatever value I want and Artisteer doesn't complain about it!).

All resolved.
Artisteer technical support replied very quickly indeed.
Download the latest Artisteer 3.1 RC from here - http://www.artisteer.com/?p=news
This resolves the Joomla 1.7 issue.

I've created a template in Artisteer version 4.0 and I added two menu Items home and contact, after I export I've tried to add the 3rd tab to the menu, it shows on the main menu but when I click on it and go to the page, the whole menu bar is not on the page. It is a blog layout.
I am wondering, do I have to add all the menu items in Artisteer and export it or is there a way that I can get the menu to show up on my joomla pages.
Thanks

@Nimmi - In joomla, go to module and select the menu in question.
at the bottom of the page, verify that the new page is checked

Same problem, menu is not showing.
I've uploaded my Artisteer template succesfully. After uploading I'm getting the following error when trying to import content from template: Delete failed - Some menu items or some menu modules related to this by another user or the default menu item is in this menu.
I've tossed all old articles, menu's and template styles, leaving my joomla account completely empty. Tried again, same error.
The articles have loaded, I can find them under 'content'. But no menu has been created.
Please help

I've now created the menu manually. It took loads of time scince I've created a multi layered template.
Check the result: www.bredeschoolculemborg.nl
Still I would love to get an awnser at the question above. The site isn't finished. I'll have to update it a few more times. How can I avoid the trouble of manually making a menu?
Thanks in advance!

I'm having the same trouble as above. I can change the position of the menu and it will show, however, it' isn't coming out the way I would expect the Menu to look on the pages.

To be more specific, I install the template and the menu will not show. I am using Joomla 3.3 & Artisteer 4. When I change the positions, it will show, however, it comes out vertical and not horizontal as a menu bar should come out. And on top of that, the highlighting and other functions of the menu bar won't come out as I had designed it on Artisteer.

Brenton, please see the instruction here:
http://www.artisteer.com/?p=help_joomla#joomla2
Also please check that you have no module and menu class suffix - these two fields should be empty in module manager.
