OK, more details:
View Source on the working demo template on your site and it shows:
<div class="art-nav-inner">
<ul class="art-hmenu">
<li>
<a href="./home.html" class="active"><span class="l"></span><span class="r"></span><span class="t">Home</span></a>
</li>
<li>
<a href="./contacts.html"><span class="l"></span><span class="r"></span><span class="t">Contacts</span></a>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
However, I'm not getting that class assigned to my ul:
<div class="art-nav-inner">
<div class="art-hmenu-extra2"><ul class="menu"><li id="current" class="active item101"><a href="/">Home</a></li><li class="item102"><a href="/web-design.html">Web Design</a></li><li class="item103"><a href="/application-design.html">Application Design</a></li></ul></div>
</div>
</div>
Anyone know why this would be the case?
Thanks
Bill

You need to place the main menu on user3 only for exact formatting: http://www.artisteer.com/?p=help_joomla

To keep the menu style you have to put it on user3.
anyway you can change the user3 position into a diferent spot on the index.php
