Seconday Menu - Text only?

Then I'd like to put my secondary links in Artisteer's "Menu" and place it in the "Extra 1" block. Even though Artisteer creates the "Menu" with buttons, my Drupal site displays the secondary menu as text links in the "Extra 1" block. How do I get the secondary menu to display buttons? I can't figure out if Drupal or Artisteer is configured improperly ...
